  • Bergenfield Schools made the Washington Post list of America's Most Challenging High Schools

Since, in education, we continuously deal with many variables that are out of our control, it’s not always possible to achieve every lofty district annual goal. Today, I am writing to you with great news because we have been recognized by the Washington Post for our work on our first district goal we established just two years ago: Every high school student will take at least one AP course and score a passing grade of 3+ on the exam. The prestigious Washington Post has published its 2013 list of America’s 1900 Most Challenging Public High Schools and, I am extremely proud to announce, that Bergenfield is ranked Number 1509 on the list. Since, according to the National Center for Statistics, there are 27,575 public high schools in the nation, this outstanding ranking places Bergenfield High School in the top 5.5% of America's high schools!
