Preschool Inclusion Program
Dear Bergenfield Parents,
The Bergenfield Board of Education is proud to announce that we will be offering the Preschool Inclusion Program for the 2015-2016 school year.
This program is open to all Bergenfield children ages 3 and 4 years old by October 1, 2015 who are toilet trained.
This program will continue to be housed at Lincoln School and will feature two sessions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The 3 year old morning session will start at 8:39 a.m. and end at 11:14 a.m. The 4 year old afternoon session will start at 12:33 p.m. and end at 3:05 p.m.
The classes will be taught by a certified teacher with two paraprofessionals in the room. This program is an integral part of The Bergenfield Board of Education’s plan to develop programs which will help our present and future students. The Bergenfield Board of Education recognizes the importance of a quality early childhood education program for the youngest members of our community. This program, based on proven research, will provide the children of Bergenfield with an excellent child-centered curriculum. This program is designed to provide the support and services needed for our students to be prepared to succeed academically and socially in school. We will be using the Creative Curriculum for Preschool which is aligned with the NJ Preschool Teaching Learning: Standards of Quality.
There is a registration fee of $300 for all students except for Special Education Students placed by the Child Study Team due on July 1, 2015. The tuition for this 10 month program is $2,300. The registration fee will be applied to reduce the monthly tuition. If there are more requests than can be accommodated, then a lottery will be held of all eligible students. If interested, you may download a brochure and application from our website under the Programs and Services TAB or go to your local school main office. If you have further questions, please contact Mrs. MaryAnne DeVivio, Assistant Superintendent of Schools at 201-385-6250 or Dr. Arthur Freiman, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, at 201-385-6956.
We are looking forward to working with your child in this first step of their educational journey. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Mrs. MaryAnne DeVivio
