Principal's Message
|
Franklin School's administration, teachers and students are committed to academic excellence. The educational climate centers around its students and their performance.
As Principal I have concentrated on two goals: Affectively - to develop a positive learning environment focusing on honesty, pride and respect for oneself, the school and the community; Cognitively - to encourage literacy in all aspects of the curriculum by engaging in activities which emphasize speaking, listening, reading, writing, reasoning and expressive language.
The teaching staff displays a strong commitment to discovering new ideas and motivational techniques to enable them to better meet the needs of their diversified student population. Students, teachers and parents are urged to work closely together. Through on-going parent/teacher communication and input, parents become active participants in the learning process.
Creativity, enthusiasm, high energy levels and a commitment to learning guarantee an effective and accountable educational environment. Innovative teaching styles and methods, creative teachers, and the close partnership between parents and teachers have created a successful learning atmosphere.
Thanks,
Rosemary LaGamma
