Governor's School of Excellence Award 2004-2005

 I am so proud of my staff for their hard work and dedicated service to all the students at Hoover School.
Hoover School's environment is nurturing, inviting, and conducive to good learning. With the philosophy that all students can learn and will learn, the staff at Hoover School works cohesively towards this goal. All students are given the opportunity to grow, learn and to become successful citizens of tomorrow. Students learn the importance of self respect and the respect of others in understanding the differences in customs and cultures. All curriculum guides are aligned with the State Core Curriculum Content Standards. Special programs, teaching strategies and techniques are provided in helping and supporting all students to learn at his or her own pace and ability. All classrooms are on line with Internet capabilities. This will allow the students to further explore and become familiar with the world around them. Support staff is available when needed to help students further master skills necessary to be successful. Parents are an important component in encouraging their child to be responsible. The Parents' Association supports the philosophy of the school and provides many fun and supportive programs during the school year. The Hoover School Developmental Fund continues to support the efforts of building a much needed gym/all purpose room. As the administrator I am so proud to be part of Hoover School. Each day is as challenging as the next in helping all students to be productive in a safe and caring environment. Hoover School is the place to be.
