Principal's Message

The mission of the Lincoln School is that each child reach their fullest potential. We provide for the needs of the individual child as we nurture the student's self esteem to build confidence, character, and competence following the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. We foster self respect, respect for others, and acceptance of responsibility.

Students experience a full blend of curricular and outside experiences to provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals and opportunity for growth and development. Our curriculum is supported and enriched by quality programs in art, music, physical education, technology, world language and library. We are proud of our brand new “cybrary” containing 24 computers and a multimedia projector. Additionally, students participate in field trips to extend learning beyond the classroom, and programs by the Parents' Association that bring outside resources to us. Our teachers continue to seek educational opportunities to advance their knowledge to help them reach their students. We focus on individual needs that allow early diagnosis and prompt interventions when learning problems arise.

Our parents take an active part in making decisions about the educaton of their children through easy access to teachers and the principal, and through their involvement in an active and supportive Parents' Association. Parents are also members of our School Leadership Council.

Our experienced and highly qualified faculty is dedicated to working with each child to foster creativity, integrity, respect, and the academic skills necessary to become a good citizen and productive member of the community. Our Tri-Valley Program for Pre School and Primary school students with autism from Bergenfield, Dumont and New Milford continues to be very successful.
