The services of the Department of Guidance and Counseling Services are available to students, parents and faculty.  Counselors can help students assess strengths and limitations; make suitable decisions; develop positive attitudes; select appropriate courses; assist in the solution of personal problems concerning friends, teachers and family; discover abilities and talents; provide information on career opportunities and options; and assist in the development of future educational needs and plans.

Counselors are concerned with assisting students to maximize their potential.  It is the goal of our counselors to help each student make the most of the opportunities available at the Roy W. Brown Middle School; learn more about herself/himself; and leave with realistic high school plans.

Counselors are here to help students get positive results from the middle school experience.  Students should utilize their counselor's knowledge and experience to achieve their greatest potential.
