Principal's Message

Washington School has a 113-year tradition of providing students with a quality education in a school environment that cultivates and promotes the acquisition of lifelong learning skills. Washington School's mission is to give our students the opportunity to develop academically, socially, and emotionally as they gain the skills and knowledge needed to be effective citizens in a free society. Our mission is accomplished through the joint efforts of dedicated and dynamic teachers, supportive parents, and concerned community members. Washington School's diverse population enriches each child's understanding of various cultures, backgrounds, and the world-at-large. The school is a microcosm of our society, fostering social interaction and a respect for one another's individual differences and values. At Washington School, our expectations are that each student will be academically challenged, will grow and learn in a safe educational environment, and will enjoy and be enriched by their day to day experiences.
