The children in Mrs. Bonifazio's 2nd grade studied authors as mentors during Writer's Workshop. They studied authors such as Angela Johnson and Ezra Jack Keats. The children then wrote stories to emulate the authors that they learned about. When they finished and published their stories, they shared them with Mrs. Schultz's Kindergarten class. The Kindergarteners loved hearing their stories and told the 2nd graders what their favorite part of the story was. The Kindergarten hopes that one day they will be as wonderful writers as the children in Mrs. Bonifazio's 2nd grade!
