Washington School has a 113-year tradition of providing students with a quality education in a school environment that cultivates and promotes the acquisition of lifelong learning skills. Washington School's mission is to give our students the opportunity to develop academically, socially, and emotionally as they gain the skills and knowledge needed to be effective citizens in a free society. Our mission is accomplished through the joint efforts of dedicated and dynamic teachers, supportive parents, and concerned community members.

  • Give for 100

    While food drives are typically held during the holiday season, people typically forget that there is a need for pantry replenishment year round. In celebration of the 100th day of school this year, classes at Washington School were challenged to collect a total of 100 items which would be then donated to the Bergenfield Food Pantry.   • The 99%

    Accelerated Reader has become an important part of the Washington School reading program. We have exceeded our original participation goal and have now hit 99% participation in the program. To celebrate this wonderful achievement, three students were chosen at random to receive Barnes and Noble gift cards.
