For the eighth year in a row, Bergenfield High School (BHS) has been recognized as one of our nation’s most challenging high schools by the Jay Mathews Challenge Index. The 2019 Challenge Index places BHS at 945th in the nation and 44 th in New Jersey-- landing the school in the top 4% in the U.S.
Bergenfield Public School District has once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Bergenfield is one of only 623 districts across the nation receiving the prestigious award in 2019. This award recognizes that the district is leading the way with music learning opportunities.
Bergenfield Public School District is excited to announce that it has once again been recognized as a Digital School Districts Survey winner by the Center for Digital Education for the 2017-18 school year. This marks the district's seventh consecutive year placing in the top ten nationally for its innovative use of technology.
