On Monday, March 12th, Bergenfield High School held its annual Honor Society Induction Ceremony in the Bernard T. Baggs Auditorium. There were 250 students recognized in the following Honor Societies: National Honor Society, Art Honor Society, Math Honor Society, English Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and World Language Honor Society. On March 21, 2018, the Bergenfield Athletic Hall of Fame will be holding its Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Seasons Restaurant at 644 Pascack Road in Washington Township, New Jersey. The event begins at 6:30 PM, followed by a buffet dinner at 8:00 PM. Tickets are now available and be purchased through the Athletic Office by either emailing Tania Charalambous at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the Athletic Office at (201) 385-8876. Tickets are $80 per adult, $40 for children ages 12 and under, and $40 each for any honoree from the 1974 state championship football team. Honorees this year include Corey Caidenhead, Melissa Smith Hegel, Pete Colli, Robert "Bowie" Kennedy, Vince DiLorenzo, Richard Eichner, Tom Butler, Maria Nordberg Stivers, Coach Frank Schorling, and the 1974 state championship football team led by head coach Bob Taglieri.

Congratulations to the BHS students and staff as the number of students receiving AP Scholar recognition increased by 18 students from last year. This year, BHS has a total of 95 overall AP Scholars, with 23 students receiving AP Scholar with Honor, 19 students receiving AP Scholar with Distinction and 4 students receiving National AP Scholar recognition.
The BHS Class of 2017 has made an impression on the community and has helped BHS receive recognition as one of the "Most Challenging Schools in America" by the Washington Post for the last 6 years. For the second year in a row, BHS was recognized by the US News and World Report as being ranked in the Top 4 % of the Best High School’s in America! For the second year in a row, Bergenfield High School has been ranked among the top 4% of high schools in the nation by the U.S. News & World Report in the 2017 Best High Schools survey.
