Parking Lot Safety
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Safety is a primary concern at Lincoln School. While we strive to maintain a safe environment for our students and staff inside our building and on our playgrounds, our parking lots are presenting a major safety problem.
The Bergenfield Police Department Traffic Division and I are asking for your cooperation in alleviating this concern. Please observe the following guidelines when dropping off and picking up your children:
- PARK YOUR CAR IN A PARKING SPACE - Many parents/guardians pull up to the door and block other traffic. Also many cars that are not parked properly cause a safety problem for the students who are walking in the parking lot.
- WALK YOUR CHILD FROM YOUR PARKED CAR TO A SAFE AREA.
- CAREFULLY DRIVE AWAY.
- THIS APPLIES TO INCLEMENT WEATHER ALSO - Many times inclement weather is the worst time for parking lot safety problems. This is why it is even more important to follow these guidelines for everyone's benefit.
THESE GUIDELINES APPLY TO ALL ! Thank you to those of you who have always followed these procedures and have kept your child and others in a safe environment.
