    Dear Bergenfield Parents,
    The Bergenfield Board of Education is proud to announce that we will be offering the Preschool Inclusion Program for the 2018-2019 school year.
    This program is open to all Bergenfield children ages 3 and 4 years old by October 1, 2018 who are toilet trained.
    This program will continue to be housed at Lincoln School and will feature two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The 3 year old morning session will start at 8:38 a.m. and end at 11:10 a.m. The 4 year old afternoon session will start at 12:35 p.m. and end at 3:07 p.m.
    The classes will be taught by a certified teacher with two paraprofessionals in the room. This program is an integral part of The Bergenfield Board of Education’s plan to develop programs which will help our present and future students. The Bergenfield Board of Education recognizes the importance of a quality early childhood education program for the youngest members of our community. This program, based on proven research, will provide the children of Bergenfield with an excellent child-centered curriculum. This program is designed to provide the support and services needed for our students to be prepared to succeed academically and socially in school. We will be using the Creative Curriculum for Preschool which is aligned with the NJ Preschool Teaching Learning: Standards of Quality.
    There is a registration fee of $300.00 due on July 1, 2018, for all students (except for Special Education Students placed by the Child Study Team). The tuition for this 10 month program is $2,500.00. The registration fee will be applied toward the monthly tuition. If there are more requests than can be accommodated, a lottery will be held of all eligible students in which, parents will be notified by district webpage of date for the lottery.
