American Heart Association "Kids Heart Challenge" Flyer (English | Spanish)

Hello Hoover Families,
 
Mr. Fleming and I are excited to bring back the Kids Heart Challenge this year!  In years past, we were able to have parents attend and watch their child participate in the kids' heart activities, but unfortunately with COVID, we cannot do that this year.  We are thrilled that our students will be able to help raise and donate money for people fighting against heart diseases and strokes. In addition, we are teaching our students about the importance of heart health. Back in 2020, our school raised $1,185, and I am hoping that we can beat this amount and raise more this year. 
 
The challenge: If we get 50% of the students in our school to register online, and we collectively donate over $500, then Mr. Fleming and myself will be getting slimed!!!

Our goal for this year is to raise around $2,500, you may ask friends and families to help donate to this great cause! The event starts now and will end February 4th.  Students will participate in fun activities on February 3rd and 4th at Hoover School.  We ask your assistance to raise money for those who need help with their hearts. ALL DONATIONS ARE DONE ONLINE THROUGH THE LINK PROVIDED WHEN YOU SIGN UP. Hola familias de Hoover,

¡El Sr. Fleming y yo estamos emocionados de traer de vuelta el Kids Heart Challenge este año! En años anteriores, pudimos hacer que los padres asistieran y vieran a sus hijos participar en las actividades del corazón de los niños, pero desafortunadamente con COVID, no podemos hacer eso este año. Estamos encantados de que nuestros estudiantes puedan ayudar a recaudar y donar dinero para las personas que luchan contra las enfermedades cardíacas y los accidentes cerebrovasculares. Además, estamos enseñando a nuestros estudiantes sobre la importancia de la salud del corazón. En 2020, nuestra escuela recaudó $1,185 y espero que podamos superar esta cantidad y recaudar más este año.
