Veteran's Day

On November 9th 2016, the Bergenfield Learning Community spent the afternoon remembering and honoring our veterans in a ceremony that was held at the High School. Veterans and their families were invited to enjoy music from our Bergenfield High School Band, and speeches made by faculty and students from schools throughout the district. Three elementary school students were chosen to read their speeches on what The Pledge of Allegiance means to them. Lincoln School was honored to have one of our students chosen to read her speech to the veterans who attended that day. Megan Thomas made Lincoln School proud by standing in front of the group of students, faculty and veterans to share her thoughts.  Bergenfield schools teach the importance of honoring and remembering our veterans, not only on Veteran’s Day, but every day. As written by Megan, “They fought through many days and nights, and though we may not know each name, we thank ALL veterans just the same.” Thank you from Megan Thomas and all of us at Lincoln School.
